A Youth Apprenticeship is a one or two year “earn while you learn” program for high school juniors and seniors consisting of work and related classroom instruction in a chosen occupation. Training is received on-the-job where the employer teaches the skills of the occupation. This is augmented by taking courses that are related to that occupation. No matter what the youth apprentice decides to do after high school, they will be more prepared for success because of their apprenticeship!

Parent Testimonials
Parents and students appreciate the guidance from industry professionals, such as in the fields of healthcare and technical roles.
The program allows students to apply classroom knowledge in areas like engineering, IT, and healthcare, making them better prepared for future careers or higher education.
Parents enjoy a "front row seat" to their child becoming a skilled professional, often noting the pride and confidence their children gain.
Students can register and start earning hours towards Youth Apprenticeship on June 1st, following their sophomore year.
Students must earn at least minumum wage and earn at least 450 hours over the course of the school year, including summer hours.
Students can already be employed when beginning the program, or we can assist them in finding them employment in a field of interest.
Upon completion of 450 hours, students can remain employed if the agreement is mutually agreeable between the student and employer.
Students may be able to leave school to go to work for part of the day. This is a decision made between the school and parents.
Students can participate junior year, senior year, or both.
Upon completion, a state-issued certificate is issued to the student. This certificate looks great on college applications and on a resume.
